We offer a wide variety of wines to appeal to many different tastes.
Our fruit wines are all blended with a varietal grape. We feel this gives the wine a smoother taste. Fruit wines can sometimes be too sweet or too tart, our blend balances out the flavors.
We not only use Missouri grapes for our varietal wines, but also purchase from Kansas, Wisconsin, and California. As our vineyard develops, so will our selection of Missouri wines. Check out our selection!
Set in the countryside with a beautiful view, Tipple Hill Winery serves a variety of wines. Our selection of dry to sweet, fruit to varietal are sure to please everyone. Come for the wine, stay for the fun. Two of our favorite things - Wine & Laughter.
Many people have asked us how we picked the name for our winery, here's the simple answer. While researching our family ancestry I traced the "Hayes" family blood line back to the 1700's in England where our great, great, great, great ancestor was a barkeep in a British pub. Tipple is a British slang word for alcoholic drink.
1. to make a habit of taking (alcoholic drink), especially in small quantities
2. alcoholic drink

Daniel McLaughlin, Winemaker
I am extremely excited to be given the opportunity to take on the role of winemaker at Tipple Hill Winery. I am self-taught, learning the art of winemaking from several wonderful books and through many experiments in home winemaking. I was excited to see friends and family enjoy my homemade wines and am looking forward to the challenge of bringing my wines to more people.
A lot of hard work goes into the art of winemaking and we have a great team that helps throughout the whole process. It is a very physical undertaking from the harvesting of the grapes all the way through to the bottling of the wine. However, it is also a very rewarding experience. Nothing pleases me more than seeing people out at the winery having good times with friends and family while enjoying drinking something that I have worked so hard to make.
The future of Tipple Hill Winery is looking very bright and I am honored to be a part of it. Happy tippling!
